The Problems with Easy Street: Skipping College

I am surprised at how many people I encounter who express regret that they didn’t go to college. I think many people fresh out of high school see college as the hard path. So, they get a job right away – one that doesn’t require college. They see that they can quickly get out on their own, and it won’t require a college degree.

Then later on, they find out that the job they have is a dead end job. Maybe it’s something they can do, but they find they don’t really like it much.

If you are reading this and aren’t sure you want to go college. I want to encourage you. Go anyway.

Don’t take the easy path. That path is a dead end. Take the hard path. If you do, you will have a lot more options available to you.

Tomorrow I will talk about how to go to college without using debt.

If you didn’t go to college and you regret your decision, tell us about it. Explain to those on the fence why they should go.
